Ultramarine Pigments

More than 100 shades are available to meet any need from our customers. From the most greenish to the most reddish.

ULTRAMARINE BLUE
Ultramarine Blue is a Non-Toxic inorganic pigment with a clean, right red shade blue and is classified as Pigment Blue 29, C.I. 77007 by the Colour Index System. Chemically it is a sodium alumino-sulphosilicate. In addition to this very specific reddish blue shade, Ultramarine Blue is an excellent white corrector that neutralizes yellowish shades. Moreover, when using Ultramarine Blue for this application, metamerism (= change of colour in function of the illuminant) does not occur. This whitening effect is widely appreciated in many fields of application e.g. detergents, plastics, paints.

Excellent light and weather resistance and heat resistance up to 350°C. Acid resistant and Alkali resistant grades also available.

  • Laundry (L)
Used to provide the bluish white shade to the traditional detergent application.

    Fields of Application: Soaps, detergents.

  • Semi Industrial (P,R,PC,I,CM,L)
This range is suitable for low technical requirement products.

Fields of Application: Plastics, rubber, paints, powder coatings, inks, paper, cosmetics, artists' colours, construction materials, detergents, soaps, toiletries.

  • Standard (P Series) (P, R, C, PC, I, CM, L)
Pigments of high ratio performance / cost that provide excellent properties and safety.

Fields of Application: Plastics, rubber, paints, powder coatings, inks, paper, cosmetics, artists' colours, construction materials, detergents, soaps, toiletries.

  • Nubiperf (C, PC)
Highest quality and excellent performance pigment. This product has excellent dispersibility due to the small particle size, low moisture and low sulphur content.

Fields of Application: Plastics, paints and inks. Masterbatches of high pigment loading and / or Masterbatches, thin films, pressure, pipes, fibres, bottles.

  • Nubicoat (C, PC)
HWR (High Weather Resistance) is resistant to industrial / acid environments. Suitable for exterior applications in waterborne and solvent based systems. this product offers higher dispersibility and gloss when compared to a conventional Ultramarine Blue.

Fields of Application: NUBICOAT HWR is recommended for outdoor applications and for any other application that requires acid resistance.

HTS provides 40% more tinting strength and increases dispersibility, gloss and transparency vs conventional Ultramarine Blues used in paints. This product is recommended for interior applications.

NUBICOAT HTS is recommended for indoor applications. In outdoor applications, it is recommended providing that high cross-linked binders and highly stabilised to UV radiation systems are used.

  • Nubiflow (F, M, P)
Especially formulated for high dispersibility by offering fine particle size and a very narrow granulometric distribution. It is the Ultramarine Blue of the highest tinting strength, with a reddish shade.

Fields of Application: Fibres, PET mineral water bottles, very thin films.

  • T Series (P, C, I)
Specifically formulated to offer high wettability and rheological properties in Plastics, Coatings and in Applications.

Fields of Application: Plastics, paints, inks.

  • Nubiperf FCP (CM, FP, Ph, MD)
Specially Formulated to meet the highest organoliptic requirements for that demand high levels of safety when dealing with Ultramarine Blues in Plastics applications very sensitive to odor and taste without sacrificing high performance and unique color of this inorganic pigment vs Phthalocyanine Blues and/or Cobalt Blues.

Fields of Application: Plastics, paints and inks. Masterbatches of high pigment loading and/or Masterbatches used in applications that require improved appearance as regards brightness, transparency, surface smoothness,… or improved mechanical properties e.g. thin films, pressure pipes, fibres, bottles.

  • Nubicem
The new encapsulation technology of the Nubicem range, specifically developed for cementitious products keeps all Ultramarine Blue properties and it's unique colour intact by preventing the matrix attack on the Ultramarine Blue Particle.

B-101    Recommended for indoor use in a wide range of applications, as well as for out door applications when the contact with water is not severe, in dry areas or when the formulation is highly hydrophobic.
