HITOX (high grade titanium dioxide) is a high quality, cost-effective, beige and gray coloured rutile titanium dioxide pigments produced by TOR Minerals. Most titanium dioxide is pure white, but HITOX demonstrates that whiteness is not a pre-requisite for effectiveness in colour formulations.
In products which require opacity and colour i.e. non-white paints, Hitox pigments can reduce the amount of expensive organic & inorganic pigments as well as white TiO2. Depending on the finished colour desired, HITOX can replace from 15-100% of white TiO2, and may also allow the reduction of coloured organic and inorganic pigments, achieving considerable savings.
Applications: Hitox STD (Beige) – Can be used in a broad range of Paint and Coatings applications, including Architectural, Coil Backers, Powder, Container, Wood, Traffic, Primers, Adhesive & Sealants and Roof Coatings – basically all non-white applications where colour is required.
Hitox Gray (Grey) – Well suited for use in gray primers, powder coatings and other decorative and industrial paints. In addition to cost savings, HITOX gray can eliminate or reduce the use of black pigments which are typically difficult to incorporate due to floatation problems.
Product Range: Hitox® Buff – Beige
Hitox® Gray – Grey
Recommended for use in the coatings, inks and plastics industry.
Description: Micronized Yellow Iron Oxide are manufactured with a special process that minimizes the presence of agglomerates, providing enhanced dispersibility, colour reproducibility and gloss. It provides higher performance vs conventional Iron Oxides mostly because of its higher dispersibility, narrower particle size distribution and lower sieve residue.
Red Iron oxide is recommended for use in the coatings and construction industry.
Description: Iron Oxides cover the colour space known as earthy colours (red, yellow, black and browns), similar to those colours found in nature. The use of these pigments in the construction and coatings market, makes the resulting construction fully integrated in the landscape.
Red Iron oxide provide the following advantages:
Excellent durability and stability
Easy incorporation
Colour consistency batch-batch
Good performance to cost ratio benefit
Competitive pricing
Molybdate Oranges are inorganic pigments which provide Orange, Scarlet and Red shades. Molybdate Oranges have been classified as Pigment Red 104/C.I. 77605 (Molybdate Orange/Red) by the Colour Index System. Their basic chemical composition is PbCr4.PbSO4. bMoO4.
Molybdate Oranges have been widely used in the Plastics and Coatings industry because of their bright yellow colour and high hiding power.

Phthalocyanine Green, better known as Pigment Green 7, is a synthetic green pigment from the group of phthalocyanine dyes, a complex of copper(II) with chlorinated phthalocyanine. PG 7 has a bright, high intensity colour, transparent in application. Due to its stability, PG 7 is used in many inks, coatings, and plastics, as well as some cosmetics applications. Being insoluble, it also has no tendency to migrate in the material. PG 7 is the standard green colour for plastics, used in polyolefins, engineering plastic, PP, terylene, acrylic fibers and nylon.
Poly chlorinated copper phthalocyanine. Acts as an organic green pigment. It is odorless as well as possesses an excellent light fastness, chemical fastness, weather fastness and solvent fastness. Used for solvent based liquid inks, solvent based air drying paints, powder coatings, stoving enamel and alkyd paints.
