Description: Molybdate Oranges are inorganic pigments which provide Orange, Scarlet and Red shades. Molybdate Oranges have been classified as Pigment Red 104/C.I. 77605 (Molybdate Orange/Red) by the Colour Index System. Their basic chemical composition is PbCr4.PbSO4. bMoO4.
Molybdate Oranges have been widely used in the Plastics and Coatings industry because of their bright yellow colour and high hiding power.
Product Range: Nubiterm K-series - The most heat-resistant (300ºC, 5 min) series.
Nubiterm R-series - The heat-resistant (220ºC-260ºC, 5 min), enhanced acid and weather fastness series.
Nubiterm S-series - The heat-resistant (220ºC-260ºC, 5 min), enhanced acid, SO2 and weather fastness series.
Nubiterm L-series - The standard series.

Molybdate Orange pigments is widely used in road marking paints and industrial applications as well as offset inks. It has good resistance to light, weathering, high temperatures and sulfur dioxide and can be used with all other pigments without alteration.

Description: Molybdate Oranges have been widely used in Coatings to achieve shiny orange and red shades with high opacity.
In addition to that, their general features are:
  • Compatibility with all kinds of polymers
  • Easy-dispersion
  • Maintenance of polymer’s dimensional stability
  • Insolubility, avoiding migration tendencies
The R and S series are highly stabilized Molybdate Oranges recommended for Coatings applications that require:
  • a heat fastness of 240ºC-260ºC, and/or
  • an enhanced acid, SO2 or weather fastness vs Conventional Molybdate Oranges
Product Range: NS-36 - Scarlet shade Molybdate Orange pigment, with very good light and weather fastness and 240ºC heat resistance.
NRC-38 - Orange shade Molybdate Orange pigment, with very good light and weather fastness, 240ºC heat resistance and high tinting strength and hiding power.

Being in its chemical nature not very stable, Nubiola has developed several encapsulation techniques to stabilize them and provide them with excellent heat and weather fastness as well as ease of dispersion.
Nubiterm K series, known as the most heat-resistant Molybdate Oranges, are manufactured with a special encapsulation technology that provides them with heat fastness up to 300ºC (5 min). This allows customers to use them in most of polymers.
